Being unemployed is meant to be tough isn't it, otherwise, why would anyone bother to look for work?

In my view, £90 a week for doing feck all is not a bad hourly rate.

£90 a week doesnt go far feeding 4 people paying bills & a mortgage!! I was offered work a few days a week but the dole office told me i would" have to sign off if i did more than 15 hours work a week,Then go through the process of re registering unemployed the next week!!

I assume you have some form of unemployment cover on your mortgage and other borrowings?

About the same here.

Been made redundant 3 times now but been fortunate to walk into another job almost immediately. Kept the family afloat but has led to compromised choices, spent 4 years with 2 jobs that just were not right and did my head-in and my health, however now has worked-out so well, i can't but think it was destiny.

Laurence, bummer news. Hope it turns into a new and better horizon.
