Understanding Chainset Specs?

IF:

Bike A = 48/36/26t x 170mm
and
Bike B = 48/38/28 x 170mm

Then, A has lower gearing and will be better uphill
and,
B won't be so good uphill, but a bit quicker on the flat.

Is that right?

Dont be we are big boys we can take it. What is it your looking at bud ? I dont really know what your saying eg. My chainset is a 53/39 double on the front with an 11/28 cassette on the back with 172.5 mm cranks.

A, will provide a lower bottom gear but no higher at the top end. If that makes it better uphill would depend on the rider and the hill.
