hi guys bought some continental gatorskins for my bike and it says to pump them up to 110psi i have pumped them up to 60 and they seem rock hard should i keep going ??
thanks im 15 and a half stone at the moment 6 foot 2 inches. should i pump to 90psi?110 is the max rating for the tyre, most people will run at 90-120 depending on the tyre and their weight. 60 is very low for road use, and makes you vulnerable to pinch flats.
Do you have a track pump? Makes it so much easier.

got them up to 90psi with hand pump its rated to 120 psi but im not a terminator lol!60psi is actually pretty soft, but it is about the max you can manage with a hand pump. You need a track pump to get them up to a decent pressure - especially as you are not of polka dot jersey build.![]()
will donext job: buy a track pump £15 if that then sorted
cool thanks had any problems with them puncture wise ??I have the same tyres and run the front at 90psi and the rear at 95psi ...they run fine at them pressures![]()
