Tyre Help

I currently have a GT Aggressor XC2 2009-2010 model and use it daily for commuting.

The tyres seem massive and a bit overkill for what I need (general canal and road use), nothing to strenuous in terms of off roading.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Do they do them in 26" x 2.35?

I'd need new inner tubes then I take it if I go down from 2.35?
