Turbo Trainer or Road Bike?

I was thinking about Christmas (Yeah, a bit early I know) and was wondering whether I should get a turbo trainer for around 50-60, or spend a little extra maybe 150-200ish on a road bike. I'm 17, my parents will be paying so the choice isn't really up to me, but I was wondering whether it would be worth getting a road bike for £150-200?

Pretty basic road bike for £150-200. A set of wheels, inner tubes and tyres will cost you that.
