Don't worry, you probably had a head wind against you.

Although totally meaningless it does give you a reference point for next time, that is if you calibrate the turbo each time you put the bike on it.

Now to get that extra bit all you would need to do is stand the turbo on a couple of thick phone books and not put anything under the front wheel, this way you would be going downhill all the time.

If you beat your brains out on it last night not a real good idea to do 2 days in a row of high intensity.

Or else what's the point in a speed/cadence sensor?

Not that I'm one for over dramatisation or anything but my life is over.

On the turbo today for 30 minutes. Wanted 10 miles. Got 9.9.

Stupid legs.

See tomorrow? I'm having it

Don't worry about it, reduce the tension on the back wheel a little bit, and you'll hit 10 miles...^_^

I don't understand, if the back wheel turns x number of turns that equals to x number of miles , or have I missed something
You've missed the point that it is meaningless without reference to the resistance setting. On my gym bike I can undo the brake so there is only chain and bearing friction - the flywheel is soon going round so fast that I can't keep up with it, '10 miles' would go by in a matter of minutes. At the other extreme, I can't even get the thing to move so even '10 yards' would not be possible!

Ah yes, "resistance setting" - well I'm still going to count them as miles

I had a good session on the turbo myself last night, in the garage.

Beat the freezer easily, but he said afterwards that he had been feeling cold all day and could not get warmed up.
But in the sprint, lost out to a Scottish rider - Washing MacHine. He switched to his Quick Cycle and finished strongly. I believe he has been going to spin classes!

We did have one casualty - the drier took a tumble.

And I am not speaking to my aero helmet. He went on a head and I didn't see him again until the finish.

Cheers Keith
