Which shoe do you put on first, the left or the right and do you lace up the first one you put your foot in or the other one.

And do you do it standing or sitting or hopping in an ungainly fashion.

There's always one exception that proves the rule.

How do I put my shoe on? Standing up I step into the shoe lift my foot up then pull the shoe on properly.
Which shoe do I put on first? The one that is closest to me when I start to put the shoe on.

Me too. We must be twins, or something.

both feet at once failed, so settle for right foot first but only because I have reduced/no feeling in my left foot and it makes it easier to balance if you know you have actually sucessfully put your boots on at least 1 foot properly!
(unclip on the right for the same reason - can't guarentee left leg without looking at it and usually failing... )

When we were young, we were so poor we didn't have shoes. We worked so late that we got up the next day before we had got home......

I wore cardboard boxes on my feet.
