peanut butter sandwiches, in multigrain bread - is that any good ? i always assumed peanut butter would be a good protein / carb / sugar food for cycling etc. Or is that why i'm the size of an elephant ?

Shade's I did my first 100 miler (7hrs 35 min) 2 weeks ago and would say if you have managed to do a 70 then you can do a 100.

I did not decide until late morning whether to go out on the bike as it had been peeing down first thing so had no not fully carbed up the night before.

On the ride I got through 2 bottles of water mixed with blackcurrant squash with a large pinch of salt, large bottle of isotonic lucozade sport, pasta for lunch, 2 banana's 7 slices of fruit loaf and a large bag of jellie babies (mostly in the last 15 miles)

Without doubt I suffered due to the lack of carbs on board before I started as the last 2 hours were a real grind.
