I've got some reflective snap on things, you know the things kids play with (or certainly used to) where it's long and flat then you hit it on an arm (or in this case leg/ankle) and it snaps round it. Works a treat for me  only a few quid from Halfords.

I use some 20+ year old ones that came with my old Dawes. Made in Great Britain and everything! Not sure I could find you a supplier anymore though!
Any danger of a picture and brand so I can look out for them. I have tried the 2.99 Halfords ones they fell off despite me bending them round my leg. I have also tried the snaps and my trousers keep escaping. Picture this... escaping trousers:wacko:

mine came from wilkinsons seem ok , just bend them together once in a while to close them up , but the oldbicycle company do some rather swish ones but more exspensive and i have never tried them.

anyway why are you not all riding in shorts !! saves the need for trouser clips

Shorts in this weather, why they've invented Lycra trousers through which the cold wind whistles to chill the bones.

Just bought some more at Wilkinson, aka Wilko's. £1.88 for the pair! they are sprung steel coated with black plastic. Here's the interesting bit, the plastic coating is slightly tacky, not sure if they are supposed to be but they grip the trousers great. Biked all the way home with a stop at the shops and they never moved , a happy bunny indeed.

Bit of a spend thrift today because I also bought a bell, flick bell actually, mmmm, another can of worms! 97p ^_^
In the shop it made a wonderful high pitched dinggggg that went on for eternity. Fastened onto the handle bars and it does an Eastenders, Dud as in dud dud dud dud (like the theme tune when the show starts, I cant reproduce very well)

I know what you mean. I still use real spring steel ones. Bought 2 pairs in Southampton when I got my Peugeot in 1976 and still using them.

Forgot to take them a while back on a trip to mother's place and tried current steel ones (plastic ones broke after 10 minutes use so took them back and got the steel ones). They were cr@p. I used my slap wraps instead (normally on my wrists) and they worked OK.

The brand is Adie, who are pretty good, according Hover Fly in the post two above this one - They seem to work well for me. They are just a simple steel band, like the one pictured below, but not PVC coated.

They must be 20 to 30 years old now, but I can't fault them - They work flawlessly.
