Adverts are usually banned from places like that because they're a hazard which distract drivers.

Not round these parts, where there’s a billboard-sized TV screen used for showing moving adverts to queueing drivers at a particular junction on my commute.

We even get them on roundabouts. Not at or near the roundabout but actually on it. It’s crazy.

While at my dad's grave today a lad approached with a dog off its lead. It was one of those hyperactive spaniels. It headed towards me and then cocked its leg up on the grave stone. I was bloody fuming, especially when the lad meekly said "Oh,don't do that" to the dog. Seriously i could've booted the thing! I pointed out that now that his dog has pissed on my dad's grave others will sniff the scent and do likewise. It all went 'whooosh' right over his head. Bloody disgraceful i'd say!!

How many times do commentators on the Enland footy games have to say that Grealish is the most fouled played in the Universe and that Harry Kane is the best striker EVER and that all he needs is a goal to get him on his way!

"LOL".

For goodness sake...
An older friend of my wife's was using that wrong for about 5 years before someone had the heart to tell her it didn't stand for "Lots Of Love". She was mortified as she'd been peppering Facebook with highly inappropriate LOLs for years.

"Sorry to hear about your cat. LOL"

"I heard about your Mum's fall, hope she isn't in too much pain. LOL"

Wasn't that David Cameron's mistake, too? LOL

People who tell me that a steel bike is built to last a lifetime.
Isn't a carbon frame also built thus, and doesn't rust?

I have to admit that the first time i received that in a message, I assumed the 'lots of love' thing, which felt odd, as it was from an old friend who typically wouldn't have that phrase in his spoken or written repertoire. Took me a while figure it out.

Here's the one near me. Look at the size of it!

(Even the photo doesn't do it justice as it doesn't convey the level of distraction caused by flashing, moving pictures and video.)

And this is one they installed on the M8 as it passes Glasgow Airport👇 Who approves these things in these environments? Drivers need their full attention for the road, not bloody adverts. [shakes fist in the air]
