The amount of s*It the people who visit the seaside for the day leave behind!
I used to live in North Wales and we were talking to someone one day.
One of the 'beachware' shops near a specific beach used to go for a walk when the tourists had all gone home and collect all the plastic spades, buckets and all that - that they had left being

AT first they thought this was a very environmentally friendly thing to do
Then they found that these people owner the shop where they were sold - they just collected them all up and the end of the day and put them back on sale the next day!!!

I suppose it is better than them being lobbed into landfill - but still.......

just re-read that - for the pedants (you know who you are!!!) it wasn;t the shop that went for a walk - it was the people who ran it. Left the original because it is funnier that way

I recently read somewhere that at one resort, a few of the residents collect up left-behind beach toys at the end of the day and put them into a 'toy loan/library' sort of thing at the main entrance to the beach and prom; for a low fee a family can get buckets and spades and so on for the day and all proceeds go towards extra funding for a local nursery/infants school. Seems to me to be the best of both worlds!

Perhaps I should start doing that with the plastic toboggan left in the cellar of this house when I moved in? Mind you, we don't seem to get very snowy winters these days...

There are a couple of footballs down there too. I think I'll stick labels on them saying 'Free football' and chuck them in the back alley for kids to find.

Likewise, when all the humans are dead then I will work with the machines. Until then.

Metoo.. When I do a biggish bit of shopping, at Morrisons, as I get a discount, I go early in the morning. Often, there's no till open until 07:00 and I'm finishing the shop at 06:30 so I find a member of staff to sort a till out. I'm quite prepared to leave a full trolleyfull and walk out if they want me to use the self-scan.

I know what you mean about self scan

I initially refused to use it on moral grounds

but when I was rather ill and couldn;t cope with people I started using them

and I remembered when my daughter was young I got the 'cans as you shop' things in Safeway (remember them!!) and she dir the scanning and lots of counting and stuff

now I always use the scan as you shop and feel guilt - but it is SOOOOOO much easier!!!

Snooker players that can't seem to play more than one frame without having to go back to the dressing room.
Just heard on the telly that the snooker authorities are also getting a bit pissed off with this and will be looking into it.

I could understand Bill Werbeniuk doing this as he, allegedly, got through 10 pints of beer during a match!!

Not annoy, more slightly disturb I'd say.🤔 I spotted this quite old looking doll in a charity shop this afternoon.

I imagine that after buying it, you'll be led there in bed one night then hear noises as the doll's head starts spinning round and the mouth starts spitting fire and saying stuff you'd expect to hear in 'The Exorcist'!!

We occasionally get similar donations at my place of work. I have been known to accidentally drop a hammer on them; saves a lot of trouble in the long run.
