triple crank with 8speed cassette

I was wondering if l could use mirage 9speed ergo shifters with the triple chainset and 8 peed campagnolo cassette , l have a campagnolo triple front derailleur . Only asking because l happen to have the mirage shifters available !

As l was reading through the compatibility charts l felt my tiny brain begin meltdown....but hey thanks for the link, it helped me decide to get hold of the correct shifters and not to be a cheapskate !
