I tested the basic Allez the other day and the feel of the gear shift levers really put me off but I took out an Allez Elite today and loved it.
The feel of the levers and the preciseness of the shift were a revelation. I now see why it is £300 more than the basic bike because of the better components.
Obvious to most of you on here, I know, but I didn't think that the drive train on a bicycle could feel so good.
Made me feel very confident in rush hour traffic on a drop bar bike after over 20 years of mountain bikes.
Now they do 0% credit and it's pretty light so I can hide it in the loft away from the wife.
