Good morning,

Have you considered looking around to see who has what parts and building from what is available rather than buying a complete bike from one shop?

For example SPA seems to have these frames in stock https://www.spacycles.co.uk/m11b0s143p3873/SPA-CYCLES-Wayfarer-Frameset

It might then be the case of a chainset from Wiggle, wheels from SJS, a bit or two from Halfords and ebay and even something really unexpected such as peddles from Wilko. This way you would have a mostly new bike nowish rather than a long weight and the option in the future to replace just the bits that were second choice.

Yes, too big I'm afraid ... and as you said, too much. Good idea to check ebay though - found a medium Stirling on auction which I'll keep an eye on.
I'm also going to monitor Balfe's for the v3 models when/if they arrive. 👍

I have looked at building up from a frameset. Definitely a challenge sourcing all the parts, made even more difficult now we no longer have (simple) access to the comprehensive catalogues available from our European partners such as bike-discount.de/.
I often use Spa and indeed have a Spa Tourer, although for this steed was looking for something lighter, without going to Ti ... or Wilko for the pedals
But I take your point. 👍

The Pimlico although marketed as a Women's model isn't a 'girly' colour, you may just need to go up from Medium to Large depending on the geometry. https://whyte.bike/collections/fasturban/products/pimlico-v3

How tall are you? I am just under 5'10 and had a medium Cambridge back in the day and a large Portobello, and the large was a better fit, the Cambridge always felt a bit small. So if you are between sizes, certainly try to sit on both for size
