Tree rats

SI saw an albino squirrel when I visited America, which was a kind of mascot at OSU university until it was killed by a hawk the week later.

I hate squirrels ... they were fine until they moved in and have lifted tiles on the roof. I am contemplating putting chilli on the roof tiles near where they get in to see if that puts them off.

Interesting debate - my dog is on permanent squirrel hunt. Hind leg walking practice happens whenever a grey rat toddles along the fence towards the birds' fat balls...Had one in the loft once - an experience like that might change one's point of view.
As for feeding mice <nutter alert!>

I saw a red this morning... It was on a tree trunk, dog spotted it and started barking and trying to jump up the tree, and I watched it make its escape through the treetops.

My cats are rubbish at hunting. Timmy brought home a mouse last night that looked like it died of old age weeks ago. I've never seen such a sorry excuse for a mouse!
