Rodriguez at the moment looks to be the most promising of Ineos's non homegrown talents. Big ? over Bernal's ability to regain his form.. Martinez looks nothing special. Pidcock clearly has a GC future ahead of him if he really wants one, he also has a Classics, CX, MTB future .....

now valverde has retired from active racing on the road movistar do need to look for strong gc , sure they have mas but he seems to have fallen a bit short compared to the vinnie/ Pog steam train .
Ineos are in a similar situation they need to find a GC winner soon i wonder how long radcliffe will pour millions into what used to be a fairly certain bet ?

I'd be very surprised if Remco went to Ineos because his home fans probably wouldn't like it. I think it would need crazy money, a public pledge of leadership (probably from big Jim or at least Sir Dave) and a team built around him of the level Quickstep can't afford. Even Jumbo would be a more likely move but a middle eastern or USA team would also be more popular than Ineos.
Ayuso is much more likely.

I didn't see that coming but he's certainly old enough and at the right end of his career for IPT
