Transferring cranks with BB30 - would somebody please explain?

If you want to swap the Ultegra crank over to BB30, then an adaptor such as the Praxis works will do the job fine. It's not the cheapest option but after much research i found it to be the best option. It is a nice bit of kit no doubt. Does away with the BB30 bearings and uses the bearings in the adaptor.
If you decide to swap then i recommend the Praxis adaptor. Once it's in you don't need to worry about it again.

Thanks for the advice, yes, I've looked at the video and the Praxis adaptor seems the best solution to me so that's probably what I will do. Paul Hewitt has one in stock, not far from my home. I hate the idea of building up a nice bike but compromising on important stuff like the BB.

Yup BB is not one of the places to skimp on a bike.
For pressing i just used 2 big washers,a few nuts and a length of threaded rod. Press one side and screw in the other. Think of it no more.

Just been round to see my cycling neighbour and he recommends holding out and watching Ebay for an FSA SL-K carbon chainset second hand.
*Head in spin* Is this a better solution than bodging the Ultegra chainset? I have to admit that I don't particularly like the look of the Ultegra chainset....

I think I read in another thread he is upgrading his frame and swapping current bits over. And putting cheaper bits on current bike.

I'd ditch the Ultegra, but I wouldn't pay money for an FSA crankset either.
