 I have never cycled outside of England and certainly not on such a spectacular looking route. I don't know if I'm looking forward to the climbs or the downhills more though

If it's raining, I won't be looking forward to the descents.

A soft southerner like you will find it quite different from London; you shouldn't experience any language difficulties - LD & Banjo now know a few words of English and you should just about be able to understand Cheshire Celt.

Crackle & I have persuaded Doseone to turn up in a 4 X 4 with extra spotlights on the front and plenty of room for our bikes in the back.

An' some roadkill on the bullbars 'cos you pretty boys gonna need some feedin' before the locals get you and make you squeeek like a pig. Yeeha.

Here's a piccie I took just outside Builth Wells in January this year and illustrated the road conditions I'm expecting....

I am hoping it's going to be dry! I don't relish the prospect of bringing the Audax, with full mudguards. It's not a bad bike but the extra weight is undesirable. On the climbs, at least :heat:
