The racing gets underway in Copenhagen on Wednesday afternoon with qualifying for the women's individual pursuit, before the evening session kicks things off properly. The racing concludes on Sunday afternoon/evening. Here's your basic finals schedule, although obviously the sprints and the omnia are held over two days:

Wednesday
Women's time trial
Men's points race
Women's individual pursuit
Men's team sprint

Thursday
Men's scratch
Women's team sprint
Men's individual pursuit
Women's team pursuit
Men's keirin

Friday
Men's time trial
Men's team pursuit
Women's scratch

Saturday
Men's madison
Women's omnium
Women's sprint

Sunday
Women's points race
Men's omnium
Women's keirin
Men's sprint

And the riders Britain has sent:

Sprint events: Matt Crampton, David Daniell, Ross Edgar, Chris Hoy, Becky James, Jason Kenny, Vicky Pendleton, Jess Varnish

Endurance events: Lizzie Armitstead, Anna Blyth, Steven Burke, Ed Clancy, Katie Colclough, Wendy Houvenaghel, Chris Newton, Jason Queally, Jo Rowsell, Ben Swift, Andy Tennant

British Eurosport's coverage seems to be fairly extensive. BBC will be covering it via a mixture of BBC2, the Red Button and their website.

Not sure if I understood that right. According to the schedule all the Womens Omnium events are on Saturday and all the mens are on the Sunday.

Anyway, hurrah some racing I can finally see and enjoy, even if IMHO the reshaped Olympic program is now likely to decimate my favourite track events.

Indeed you are right. Sorry about that, not sure where I got it from.

Anyway, pulsating stuff in the women's time trial and, particularly, the men's team sprint tonight.

Indeed, however I wish they'd done a separate show for all the interviews, recaps etc rather than talking over the first third of the points race.

That was a superb day of racing, with only the men's individual pursuit failing to provide close and riveting action, although Phinney was as impressive as ever. Fine showings by the British ladies in the team pursuit and team sprint, as well as Hoy looking in top condition. Great stuff from Rasmussen for the Danes, too.

And what about those Kiwi team pursuiters, eh? They must be kicking themselves for getting it wrong in the qualifying.

Standouts for me were the Aussie Women's team sprinters. Breaking the world record in qualifying then beating that in the final.

Todays D. Teleg had an article about Hoy's disappointment in yesterdays Team Pursuit.
If journalists are going to write about our sport then they should at least get the facts right.

I also agree that today the Aussie team and our Chris were awesome.
