Hi all,
I hope you don't mind me hoping onto your board, but I figured someone might be able to help me...
I'm looking to get myself a new town and trail next month but I don't know owt about what's out there. I've been to my two local bike shops (both very good, Rocky Mountain Cycles and Tredz) and am currently sold on the Tredz 7700.
I was just wondering if there were any other good/better bikes you'd recommend around this price (say up to £800).
I use the cycle to get around everywhere so it is road cycling but not really city commuting as there are lots of messy tracks and hills involved. I've been cycling for a year. I started off this time in 2009 with an Apollo town and trail bike (subsequently regretted). This finally fell apart after a few hundred miles last month so I got my use out of it. Anyway, Halfords gave me a replacement to make up for it dying. Stupid me, knowing I was going to come into some cash and get a bike next month, I thought I'd get something different to tide me over (and then run alongside) so I had a Diamondback mountain bike - the first few weeks of using that were NOT fun (changing the tyres and jacking up the seat/handlebars helped a bit). Now I know it's definitly another town and trail I want!
I'd be grateful if anyone had a suggestion of something to look into. I get a bit intimidated in the shops as, though I love cycling and watching racing, I know nothing about bikes. Your help would be invaluable.
