It was a good ride though a nasty headwind until the Gordon Arms. I was quite please with my run though I fair near collapsed the rest of the day - perhaps my taper down shouldn't have included cutting the hedge, mountain walking, shopping (always a killer) ...

Well Thanks a Bunch  ! Makes me feel even worse now xx(.

Seriously, though, it looks a great ride and, apart from the 'blowy bits' was good weather too.

Chapeau, :bravo: and Congrats to your mate on his first :bicycle: 90-miler :wahhey:. He could easily do a ton on the CC PfC ......

My only concern is that there are not many other cyclists behind your mate in the pic  .... and that I didn't get my reg in in time .

I know there was a few others that done the 90 mile ride but I don't think there was too many, most folk (including the local PCC) did the 70mile route. Too late now but you should of came down on chance, a few folk did that and as it was on public roads there'd been no harm I think in tagging along.

The Gordon Arms was that the name of the pub opposite the 2nd Food Stop? Bizarrely we set of south west'ish and had a head wind all the way and when we turned north east'ish (approx 360deg) we had a break for a wee bit but then a head wind again all the way to 2nd feed station. Luckilly the wind seemed to disappear when we went up the Swire. The run in to Peebles was sweet though I don't think we had a wind there either and it was mostly down hill

Tour of Tweedale was fantastic, very well organised marshalled and the feed station was so much better than some I've experienced. I completed the 70 and with the exception of the climb at Talla it was great, got to be one for the diary next year!!
