I have some difficulty in understanding why you think black socks are 'wrong'. Members of teams wear socks that fit their team colours. I have team and non-team cycling socks in just about every colour. I think only one pair is white.

It isn't like a school uniform where everyone must wear white socks and blue shorts for 'games'...

I don't really say black socks are wrong I just think they don't look good and regardless of colour I don't like to see socks half way up the leg. We all have different likes and dislikes and long black socks is one of my dislikes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here, here. I thought Renshaw was great. He made sure he was up there in contention for the last few km and positioned himself perfectly for the start of the sprint. Great to see him bringing home a reward for his hard work.

What happened to Team Sky? They must have had 6 riders all pushing the pace together with 3km to go, but they didn't hold it together until the end. I don't think any of their riders made the top 5.

Team Sky continue their baffling tactics with a brilliant lead out from 3km out only to realise that they don't have a bunch sprint man.

p.s. Black socks are a fashion disaster unless you've very tanned legs and not pulled halfway up your calves either

Tan socks are rubbish too Rich - unless of course you have really black legs. (Mine usually are after a filthy night ride )
