I seem to recall that it wasn't as bad as normal last year but my memory is increasingly hazy after a lifetime of brain cell loss and alcohol abuse.

That's fair. I think they've tried to make the Belgians bits more interesting by incorporating some of RVV and LBL into it. They'll be going up the Muur in Geraardsbergen and one of the stages finishes in Aywaille just outside Liege (Gilbert's home town).

Makes a change from the days when the only interest was seeing how many riders managed to ping the street furniture!

Had a look at the route and there are some proper Belgian-style lumpy bits.

The TT is a mere 13.2km though, so not long enough for Wiggo to take more than a couple of minutes out of his rivals.
