Today we rode into town (Ipswich) to watch the finish of today's tour of Britain stage. It's been years since I've been to watch a race. what a great atmosphere at the finish area. It was great to see the podium and the days winners. Also seeing the team coaches, cars and spare bikes just showed what a big sport it really is. good to see lots of local cycle clubs out too. Anyone else been to watch the Tour ?

I have ridden out to see it for the last four years.
Here is a pic from Friday on Long Hill.

Oh and Mr Wiggins sitting right at the back chatting with the crowd as he went by.

I'm in London for the stage today. As an added bonus, myself and a few others, have been given the opportunity to ride the route, before the Peloton:hyper:.

Getting in the spirit of things, I rode from the coast to Norwich yesterday taking a circuitous route to avoid suicide roads. Unfortunately, took a wrong turn or two on the country lanes and got to Norwich just in time to see the last rider go around the roundabout from about 100 metres away!! And that was that. However, I persevered and was able to join the route as police removed the barriers so quickly, so although the peleton had shot through I was the very next rider through on the road: Cue much ironic cheering and applause from the crowd on Earlham Rd! Like a scene from Mr Bean. Almost made up for missing the entire race lol!
