I thought it was a fairly boring tour TBH. The only real excitement was Cav. I felt he was the main star & Wiggo may win on GC but was very boring & predictable throughout. The Spanish tour was so much better to watch & the Great Britain tour was only slightly better than Poland.

I can understand your point. By and large, the parcours of each race dictates how the racing evolves. So we have to accept that we live in a pretty flat country and not blame the riders for that.

I am watching the highlights upstairs due to Downton Abbey and being out-voted i.e. I was told...

Here's some live telly pics of a couple of winners, it's like actually being there but without having to mix with all the nobbers down that London and having the feeling that all your money's falling out of your pockets...
Well, I went to the race and didn't spend any money. But I had to come home just to see on telly what I'd been watching. Mind you, the points stuff got so Porterised I didn't really understand it anyway.

Oh well, that's it all over on the telly...I have enjoyed it (despite the views of others differing) and thought there was some very good racing and each stage I saw had something of interest, some stages had quite a lot going on.

And even Hugh Porter was quite good - Brian Smith keeps him in order when required but also allows him to get excited (sometimes at stuff that's not that exciting). They may be my fave commentary double act at present.

Mr Porter delivered the coupe de grace with his "changing of the guard" quote just as "the manx missile" rounded the last corner near big Ben/houses of parliament, to sprint for the finish line,genius !
Maybe I like him so much as I've only been listening to his commentary for the past week or so,but his sheer enthusiasm for what is unfolding in front of him cannot be denied,anyone else think that Brian Smith sounds the spit of Nial Mackenzie, the ex superbike rider,thought I was watching the Bsb on more than a few occasions throughout the week, having caught every stage on catchup it's been a great introduction to a whole new world for me,and I've loved it and can't wait for some more !

Now then, Ci-o-lek, See-o-lek,Cho-lek, ah sod it ! :laugh::hello:
