Looks like I'll be overwhelmed with cycling, two tour of Britain stages within 8 miles of home, plus the National Road Race passing just across the bridge in Wales
^^^^^ This. They dont do the whole of france in 21days, so how can you expect the whole of britain in 8. Its typical of some people to want everything
So what do you expect, to cover the whole of britain in 8 days. Just not possible1/3 of the land mass missed completely.
-the weatherThe logistics are one reason of why the ToB doesn't come to Scotland very often.
Others include:
- much less spectator interest in Scotland (especially when you get to the real hills)
- less towns/ cities/ councils prepared to pay for having the event (viz NO Sky Ride/Rides in Edinburgh this year ...)
- too tough ..
Phenomenon is being polite. Bastards is more what I call emWeather is a bit 'variable' on other tours, so not an issue
Midges ?? The riders go too fast to be bothered - and midges are mainly a west coast phenomenon
He's right though. To be fair, the howling wind and rain will keep them down.Phenomenon is being polite. *******s is more what I call em
