There's something of the young Mark Cavendish about Caleb Ewan - the relatively small stature, aerodynamic position and the leg speed. He seems on amazing form right now.

Quite enjoyed that, managed to catch the last 15km only, but live, pity about the tangle near the end. I think Sky may have gone a bit early on the climb perhaps

Luckily for all involved in the crash, it won't mean any time penalties, which means Gerrans, Thomas et al. are all still in this.

Cracking finish to the stage today, 105km/h ave speed coming down the corkscrew hill, and great effort by Woods, came close. Gerrans gets it.

Fantastic stage finish, wasn't it? Michael Woods second at the top of the climb and third in the sprint - one to keep an eye on.

Woods was a surprise - he's not a real mountain goat, but he's one of those big guys who can also climb. Henao looks in great climbing form though and I think that Gerrans and co. will struggle to keep with him on Stage 5.

And I think Gerrans knows that... he really wants this and is going for all the bonus seconds he can get.

And of course all the feeds I had failed just before the second time up the hill, so missed the catch and the attacks and the win by the ex Sky rider.
