Assuming they actually show the program at the listed time, at least 3 times last year i got home to find i had recorded tennis or some other sport even though sky + clearly said it had recorded cycling.

Stage 1 turned out not to be such a hotly contested sprint due to a crash, but I guess I can't comment on who won due to the lack of a 'SPOILER' warning in the title of the thread, but it wouldn't be too much of a surprise to anyone who followed the race last year...

So we're not allowed to discuss the race in the race thread in case someone comes along hours after the stage is finished and sees who's won? FFS.

Just to clarify, I agree fully with FM that the thread discussing the race should have SPOILER in the title. It may be worth starting another one. This thread was initially just to discuss the TV coverage (or lack of) but perhaps I didn't make that clear enough in the title.

Thankfully, a much more unexpected win today, with Will Clarke taking the stage ahead of all the international teams with what seems like a pretty hard-won break... it will make the home crowds happy anyway!

A good stage win for Clarke, it's good to see a break stay in front at times but this was solo which made it even more special. It still leaves the race wide open so we will have to see how they go today.

Anyone got a favorite for the overall in this race!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

3rd stage for Greipel, with Hut not far behind. Considering Eddy BH isn't a 'pure sprinter' he's finishing really well - I reckon he's going to have a great season - he finished 3rd in front of Renshaw.

I hope so RD. The only problem I see with EBH is falling between 2 stools. He never quite wins a sprint, and hasn't climbed quite well enough to be a GC contender yet. An injury-free season will tell us.

Sky seemed to work well as a team in bringing EBH into position, as you say Rich he's not really a dedicated sprinter but he's going to be one to watch in each race he's entered IMO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bloody hell, Freire took today's stage in front of Bennati and Ciolek- Greipel lost 7 minutes. This is turning out to be more interesting than usual. Apparently there's a good climb at the end of tomorrow's stage.
I'll stick my neck out and go with BH for overall winner on sunday.
