TBH I have a sneaky feeling that Kittel is riding so impressively that Cavendish would have had to have put in something unusual to beat him - something like his victory on the crosswind stage last year. I think the really interesting thing will be whether he can amass enough points to wrest the green jersey from Sagan.Let's just hope we don't get Kittel winning 8 stages and Contador winning GC at a canter. We need others to step up and take their chances.
As to the GC, it looks like Bertie's to lose, but who knows? And for all his bad meat history, I can't help liking him. I was looking forward to supporting him swashbuckling against the less entertaining Froome and his Sky boys.
