They'll more likely cut the points for the intermediate sprints. It used to be 6, 4 and 2, then ASO bumped it up to 20 for first (and more scoring places) to end something like twenty years of finish-line sprinters winning it and give all-rounders a chance. It seems to have gone a bit too far the other way now.I think they'll need to get rid of the intermediate sprints if they ever want anyone else to win the points competition.
