Can someone please enlighten me as to the main differences between 3/8" and 1/4" drives - apart from the physical size ? Is one 'preferable' to the other and if so, why ?

Or is it purely a matter of the size of bits one has ?

- can't answer that - but adaptors - both ways - are readily available. It may be that the bigger the job the larger the size? Got the impression that there was a much larger choice of 3/8 bits of all sorts available. For most of the work on a bike I don't think it would make much difference.

I have the BBB Wrench. Best investment I have made tool wise. Shop around, I got mine for £35 about a year ago.
