£250 for contacts
Plus
£150 for the oakley's
Or I've managed to find oakley's in my prescription for £229 and my script hasn't hardly changed in 2 years
So blow it , contacts for cycling sound a real pita
Contacts without eye protection isn't brilliant, they will dry out and not last long.
Many of the large chains do a free contact fitting, but they are trying to sell you the monthly direct debit schemes, ignore these. Pay up the £22 ish for the contact check up and order online - if you're soft go withthe direct debit for a few months, to test them out (and go back in if they're not comfy etc) and then ditch.
It's a legal requirement to have a contact lens prescrption to buy, I thought it was 2 years but somewhere recently seemed to suggest 1 year. Some online place will ship from UK with prescription or Holland for an extra few quid without.
You can get sunglasses with prescription inserts for under 50 quid with the insert made up to your prescription.
Why do you need (expensive) sunglasses with prescription if you are going to try out contacts? (I assume this from the "plus" comment).
