set off out at 6am this morning, was quite foggy, the higher I got the thicker the fog got so abandoned my ride and was home for 7am. Too dangerous as far as I am concerned, visibility down to roughly fifteen to twenty feet and having to slow right down and almost wait for acknowledgment from car drivers to say they had seen me, not ideal conditions.
I can't enjoy my ride when I am constantly worried about other road users being able to see me.

Yup. Not ideal riding conditions.

Chilly fog here too with a mega-hilly 112 km audax plus 15 km of connecting rides to do from 08:15 onwards. The ride to event HQ on the A646 could still be murky, and probably the first climb (7 km long!) but hopefully things will start to clear after that. This fog isn't shown on the local forecasts. It is supposed to already be sunny, and stay sunny until I get home this evening.

Stay safe, y'all!

If that's a 9.30 start at Hyde Park Corner I'm going to have to rules meself out, sadly, cos I need to be back to go and sit through Kung Fu Panda in Bromley...!

I'd be up for one next month, though..?

Yep, I was counting on a nice sunny start to the day as well, supposed to see 12'C today with wall to wall sunshine, no mention of fog in the forecasts.

Clear blue sky here (SE Lake District) as I type.

Had a long mountain hike yesterday and was very cold on the summits, got home and at about 7pm last night we had around 40 minutes of very heavy snow!

Not feeling much like cycling today but I have too as I am off to try a couple of potential new bikes.

My best foggy ride, I tucked in behind a milk float and enjoyed some protection from wind and traffic along the A259 Bexhill coastal road.
Seafog is a problem in April/May when a clear day and descend into murkyness within minutes.

Not so much fog here but frost. I was thinking about going for an early ride but opening the curtains i saw cars covered in frost, yet the thermometer in the backyard/garden is in the sun showing 28 Celsius.
