it should be noted that the cleat adjustment is there to get your foot in the right position, for you, over the pedal axle not so you can avoid toeverlap. With some bikes the wheelbase is so short, the head angle so steep and racy that toeverlap is unavoidable

Do you have a picture for comparison?

As 50cm seems to be a smidge on the small size for 5'7" which can cause overlap.

I'm learning to live with toe overlap with my first road bike, Scott CR1 Team.
It's a (Small) 52cm frame (530mm top tube). I'm 5'6" with short legs and long body.

At first the toe overlap came as a surprise/shock, but it's not a problem and I'm not put off by it.

Like the proverbial 'clipless moment' - your brain/body adapts and it very quickly ceases to be an issue or even something that enters conscious thought. In my experience anyway. :smile:
