Got a pina fp5. Been riding bout 18 months tho not as regular as I should (lacking motivation big time). Usually go up to storey arms once or twice a week. I`m off on my hols tomor (alps for 3 weeks- yipee) so will try to catch up with you when I`m back.

From the sound of things you both had a great day out with the added bonus of p*ssing off the odd car driver to

. I rode my bike for an hour around the local park today as the wife wanted to join in but hates the main roads, I will be going solo tomorrow afternoon and doing a two hour ride with my new clipless pedels and shoes. I will take a few plasters and a small elastic bandage just in case it alll goes t*ts up.

Maybe the car drivers sounding their horns were doing it in encouragement - sounds like the kind of thing foreigners would do on a big climb - what did the offending motorists look like. Do you have anything else to support the abusive motorist theory - like verbal abuse , fists shaken, fast food thrown etc etc.

Well thy were in metal box's with four wheels (one in each corner). They had one head, two arms attached to a body......
