I guess im just a simple fella . Ill add to my 500 quid defy with my hard earned money as and when I can afford it . The bike may not be worth spending the money on but every penny spent on it is a small treat to myself . If I decide to take on a bigger contract I may upgrade but for now im quite happy diddling about making stuff and upgrading my new toy as and when I want .

the defy is a cracking bike and is well worth the money on upgrades as and when you can afford to

the £500 defy plus £400 for full 105 groupset and you have yourself the giant defy 1 ( which is a grand)

I've confused myself by looking at every bike under £1500 online. I don't know if I want a full carbon with decent components or a good aluminium frame with excellent components and wheels or if I should be happy with what I've got (Specialized Secteur 2013) as it's only one year old and like new. I spend far too much time every evening drooling over new bikes that it's becoming a habit. My wife joked that she would even prefer it if I was looking at adult websites every night as the sight of bikes all the time is starting to annoy her!! Tell me I'm fine with my current bike and spending £1500 on a new one won't dramatically increase my happiness.
Go ride one of these in Doagh http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/vitus-bikes-vitesse-ultegra-road-bike-2013/rp-prod81023

Thank me later

I still want the Trek Madone 4.5. The 2013 model can be bought for around £1700 but hoping it will come down to £1500 soon. Absolutely awesome bike for the money from what ive heard.
