Being IN the Buff is quite pleasant.
Buff was a shade of Humbrol paint for painting Hurricanes (Desert colouring of course).
"Steady the Buffs" Famous Scottish war-cry...
To Buff (Verb) to rub vigorously in order to create shine or sheen.

I have two Bianchi buffs. Used for riding in the frosty country lanes in winter, stops Jack Frost snapping my ears off.
