Anyone else noticed how "to be honest" is becoming a massively over-used phrase? Its starting to drive me nuts when people throw it into sentences repeatedly.

I've never really noticed to be honest.

"to be honest" is usually a precursor to a statement that isn't entirely truthful.

"At the end of the day" is another one that drives me nuts.

Aaargh. I hate that one. What's wrong with the word "ultimately"?
Unless you're saying "at the end of the day, the sun sets" or something, I suppose.

I can't see it being used so much going forward.

Basically

Obviously

To a certain extent

"Source" instead of "find"

I am guilty of the first two

My number one hate presently is when I hear people describe a loosely related group of people as Team "_______". e.g. So, how are Team York coming along with the next CC ride? Aaargh that's pissed me off even typing it!!!!
