In fairness screenman, I never forgot to unclip, I just didn't realise how easily my foot would clip back in. You're right, it's not rocket science, but experience is the best teacher around.

Thanks for the tip Boris B, they are the LOOK style so I'll try to be especially careful.

If they are LOOK-style road cleats rather than SPDs, bear in mind that they can be slightly skittish and slippery on wet or oily tarmac.

If you're not careful it can all go a bit Newborn Bambi on a cold, wet day after you've been using them in the dry for a while.

Not very much grip on granite kerbs, or tiled cafe floors either! (now ....... how do I know that :scratch:).
That's why I only use the 'grip' version.

I must admit I've only used them once so far and I did notice how slippy they were.....have to be very careful with them :eek:
