Don't put 700 x 18/25c inner tubes in a 700 x 38c tyre. Unless you want to discover what pedalling a road roller feels like.

I've got them in front and back on my commuter at the moment, and it's horrible. I can't even carve out the time to replace the tyres with the 700 x 28c Hutchinson Urban Tours I have on "old reliable" at present.

Still, I should get fit, unless me knees pack in first.

When you change the pads on Tektro hydraulic brakes, make sure the tiny circlip, on the pad retention bolt, doesn't go PING and land somewhere half way across the lawn....

I disregarded anything the WHO had to say on health matters after Keith Moon died. Entwistle served as a timely reminder.

your toe does not fit in your nose, square pegs don't fit round holes, My Land Rover does not fit in my garage and 18/25 does not fit 38!

I don't understand.
I've got tubes meant for narrow tyres in big fat ones. They don't fill the tyre properly, so they're a bit softer than I'd like and it makes the tyres drag.

Considering this is on an upright hybrid with suspension, disc brake and other weight inducing tinsel, it doesn't do much for the rate of progress. Especially as I can't engage 3 of the 8 speeds on the back, irrespective of the ring on the front.

"New bike", I hear you say. And if I'm still in the job I'm in come January, then it may well happen.
