11-12th Sept. The only caveat is that if the weather forecast is completely vile I'm staying in bed, I'm not a total masochist.

The weekend before is the South-West Tour ride, which means I'll either be in great shape, or I'll have been broken by 110 miles of chevrons...

Semi-fail! Did the first leg in pretty good shape, although very mentally tired. Couldn't face the return leg (mainly because I couldn't cope with the thought of grinding into a headwind, alone, for 14 hours) so rode to Cheltenham and took a train instead. Have got very sore tendons on my left ankle today so I doubt that I could have managed the full return journey anyway.

I think that's me out of the reckoning for the likes of LEL/PBP....

Not just a bad day?

Sometimes it makes me wonder why the brain does the thinking when it wants to do the likes of PBP/LEL and the body is screaming no after a fraction of that.

Give it a couple of days the brain will be winning again
