On the subject of pad, can someone please tell me, what does 2D,3D or 4D mean ?

sounds like marketing nonsense, certainly not cross manufacturer standards (whatever it might mean)

Without pad, I'm happy to wear shorts under them - they're several years old, and due to wear and weight loss, are ready for replacement. Lusso don't make the same design now, but the 'Cooltech' bibs are very similar so I'll be purchasing those for spring/autumn use.

Thanks for the reply. Yes i wear padded lycra shorts or even 3/4 shorts with mine, including some elcheapo lidl 3/4s at times. Works very well for me.
Have just bought a new pair of lusso bib shorts, i think I will standardise on them in future as their sizing suits me - one less thing/purchasing decision to think about.
