Thunderstorms - anyone else being deluged?

Thanks to the east coast stormage I have been sat on the tarmac at Heathrow for 5.5 hours. Flight cancelled an hour ago...waiting for a bloody bus now.

Sticky and humid as hell here. Can't even start to describe the condition of my undercrackers in case I upset those of a sensitive disposition.

The second most impressive thunderstorm I've ever seen was from the Humber Bridge. But I blame @ColinJ for that one

The most impressive one was on Ben Cruachan I think. I was sat cowering on my rucksack with my knees under my chin on an open hillside and the rocks around me were zinging and tinging and giving off blue sparks. Serious squeaky bum time

Just walked home from the local & there's some pretty impressive lightening over the north sea, but nothing inland yet. Hope it stays that way too, one of the dogs hates thunder

We had half a dozen drops of rain around Midnight but nothing since, still too hot to sleep.

Norwich had a massive thunder storm last night, just after I watered the garden. The TV reception got jiggy and this morning I found that my climbing beans had been blown over. Next year I will revert to A frame style supports
