Was going to buy a Felt Z6, Carbon, 105 gearset and around £1350 from EVANS.

I was told at EVANS to stay away from FELT, and advised to go for the SCOTT, being a much better carbon frame.

What is the word on the CR1 Comp @ around £1500. Is it really that superior to the FELT Z6? I like the look of the FELT?

Thanks

Pretty darn aggressive

I'd go for it, but if your not used to something so aggressive, then you might end up feeling its uncomfortable

My mate likes his, at least he does now he's upgraded the wheels. Only thing he doesn't like is all the other Scott's he see's when we go out, whereas I see very few of my bikes - and that's the way I like it

CR1s are good bikes.

I wouldn't agree that they are aggressive. The last couple of years they have tweaked the geometry to make them more of a 'sportive' feel. I ride an Addict, which is fairly aggressive, but it's very comfortable, well balanced, stable and handles beautifully (especially when chucking it round corners at 30 mph+). Everyone I know who's got/ had a CR1 speaks in similar terms.

I would imagine the carbon would be of a higher grade on the Scott. I don't know what other reason Evans would have for steering you away from the Felt.

+1 Did they have a felt in your size you could try ?

I've got £1 on no!

Hi Odessouky
I ride a Scott cr1 team and find it to be an excellent bike for many uses, its comfortable enough for long rides, and aggressive and responsive if you really want to push it some, but equally competent for a steady leisure ride around the lanes,i have even ridden it on gravel roads and rough cycle paths.Perfect bike for me i found.
Same 105 groupset though in my opinion the build quality on the scott is superior to the felt, and i think the frame is also superior.

Not to sure?
Yep, great bike, had mine three years now and I 100% love it.

Upgraded the wheels for Kysrium SL,s and replaced the bars, stem and seatpost for Ritchey WCS carbon jobbies and its even better still!
