This must be disk brakes right?

It keeps intermittently sticking. Nothing on the drive train I can see.

If I ride it I can push through it, it doesn't throw me over the handlebars or anything, but obviously needs fixing.

Was thinking of releasing the caliper in disk brakes, pushing them apart and holding the brake whilst retightening. But of dirt on the rotor too, how do you clean that. I have had the filthiest commute through the wettest winter so am sure it has taken its toll.

Can't tell only from the photo but it would be a good idea to clean and recentre the brake caliper and see if the problem goes away. You have to take the pads out, clean the pistons, then push them in (I normally use a tyre lever for this). Don't push them before cleaning to avoid dirt and grime getting inside the caliper. After reinstalling the pads you have to recentre the caliper so the pads don't rub on the rotor.

Are you sure it's not the mudguard - looks very tight. I had this problem when I changed to a tyre with a slightly higher profile.

As you've reproduced the problem on the stand, if you think it's the disk brakes, drop the pads out and see if it still happens.
That will rule them in or rule them out.

You've got at least a few other possible culprits (hub bearing, hub gearing, mudguard).

Having an issue with a clicking front brake disc. Not interfering with the ride but the constant clicking over 200k is beginning to annoy me. Have loosened the calliper to see if I can centre it - as shown in the Park Tools video but the loose calliper is moving quite a bit side to side. Suggests a warped front disc.

Not at home at the moment so don’t have access to tools. Any suggestions?

If the caliper is moving "quite a bit" then it's time for a new disc.

You might be able to bend it something like with an adjustable but it sounds like it's cream crackered.
