thinking of buying a new (to me) smart phone

The build quality is fine. I've used and abused it for a couple of years now and there have been no problems at all. My only very minor criticism is that the buttons on the side of the phone feel a bit "spongy" rather then a more positive "clicky" if you know what I mean.

I'll dig out the paperwork I got with it later on today and let you know what the warranty period is.

It's a 2 year warranty period. Here's a link to their site which confirms this Link.
They've dropped their prices again today!

FWIW, if my phone died tomorrow, I'd have no hesitation in buying another one from them (i.e if I dropped it or something, rather than it developing a technical problem).
