I am not picking the saddle.I am passing your thoughts and suggestions over.
How about your good lady talks to us direct ??
Might make the comms more straightforward??

Apparently yes. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Georgena_TerryDoes Georgena Terry still make saddles? My wife had one on her Dawes and she swore by it.
Suitable for disc brakes then. However getting buttock bones measured would be a good start
My mid market bike shop has got one of those things you sit on to get the measurement.
135 mm as it happens

Disc brake rear hub dimensions are 135mm...I'm sorry, I don't get the joke, if that's what it is
But I do have disc brakes
You know Postie is quite mature don't you?
Maybe his wife doesn't want to come on the internet, sign up for forums, and talk to complete strangers.
Less of the rolly eyes emoticon, please. It doesn't come across well, quite a dismissive gesture.
We have established in previous discussions that @vickster and I have opposite undercarriages! I would recommend both Specialized saddles and the Selle Italia Diva!Charge Ladle - I am yet to try but they are popular like the men's spoon
That said Bontrager suit me - I got an Anja Comp recently for £40, works for me. She needs to measure her sit bones though as they come in different widths
Brooks do ladies' models
I don't get on with Specialized saddles, and the Selle Italia Diva that I was recommended at one point was the perch of the devil for me!
Of course, it is possible that none of what will be suggested will suit her! To be honest, YOU giving them the once over will be zero use to her
Isn't that a bit ageist towards Mrs Postie, you're assuming you might know what she would and wouldn't like ??
I'm sorry if my emoticon usage displeases you - I didn't realise it was your job to hand out advice on such matters.
To me this denotes more of an affectionate upward glance, rather than a sign of dismissal.
But hey, why should it bother me if complete strangers, take it upon themselves to scold me for my posting style??
Do you have some first hand advice to give regarding saddles for women?
Or even perhaps a slightly less disparaging attitude towards this woman (who's age you don't even know) in particular??
I'm not even going to try to address your points Mudster because you're always so righteous, always so right, and always looking for debate.
Postie is old (he won't mind that), his wife is probably pretty old. He's asking about women's saddles. Give the guy a break, he asked about saddles. It's not always about you, so keep it on topic.
And saddles is what I've given my opinion on.
Including the fact that it's very personal, so first hand advice / experience is key.
You're the one taking personal issue with me, and this thread off topic for no discernable reason.
Erm, no, you specifically asked Postie to get his wife to join Cycle Chat because you'd rather discuss with her direct, and not with Postie. And then you rolled your eyes as you often do. That's not very nice.
I've got a Ladle as Vickster suggests and it's good.
However I've also had softer gel fill saddles which some discount as not so good for the undercarriage for some reason.
But I've been fine on one of those too for general riding, and multiday tours as well.
For years.
I'd say let your good lady wife take charge of saddle procurement herself.
It's a very personal subject, and I'd personally not want someone else making those decisions on my behalf.

+1 for the Charge Ladle
Have one on both the roadie and the hybrid. Seems to suit plenty of bums and it's relatively inexpensive in the scheme of things. Although I notice that it's gone up in price a bit since I last bought one.
