Visit a shop and have a look at their weekly specials/design books.

Size can dictate placement and placement can dictate size

What you get is up to you really - most of mine are personal, but I have a couple of random ones that I just liked the look of.

As for where, a decent artist will suggest placement. Unless you're dead set on a location, go with their suggestion.

I've had a look at a few places, but I'm easily persuaded so I'm wary of getting something I don't really want lol

My approach has been stuff I'm into, but not in an obvious way. Good to have a story behind a tattoo I reckon.

That's a good tip. The last tattoo place I went to look at I got talked into getting a piercing instead lol

To be fair, that sounds like a pretty decent place. If they can sense your indecision a piercing is a lot less permanent than a tattoo.

Have you seen anyone's work you like? Or have a particular style in mind? Instagram and Pinterest can be good starting points.
