I bought a cold pie the other day from a supermarket. I bought it intending to eat it on my way home, but chickened out,not really fancying a cold steak and Stilton pie:unsure:. Now if only someone would/could invent a portable, battery operated microwave oven!🤔 Nothing like the size we have in our kitchens for obvious reasons, more shoe box(ish) size.
I dont see why that's not do-able, it'd need to be a robust battery pack and an efficient inverter but it would only need to be doing its thing for 2 or 3 minutes at a time.

Wouldn't a convection/fan oven be better for a steak&stilton pie though?

small pocket sized drone which travels in front of your bike clearing a one meter wide strip of all road litter and ice, filling the potholes as it goes:giggle:
I'd settle for better quality work and ongoing maintenance by local authorities and the Highways Agency, but a I'd have one of your drones for removal of puncture-causing debris. Where's your kickstarter page?

Yes,but although a pie cooks better in a conventional oven it'd take about 20 minutes to warm a pie which would defeat the whole object of getting your cold pie warmed up asap, whereas a (portable) microwave would do it in about 1 minute 20 seconds. Maybe someone could invent a portable microwave/conventional oven.🤔 If you prefer gas to electricity, maybe invent a gas bottle to fit on your back, like oxygen bottles for divers.

One thing i haven't missed during this never ending lockdown saga is watching football matches freezing my you know whats off! I'd be there watching Accrington Stanley on a cold Tuesday night in January, wondering how to keep warm:cold:,while standing or sitting still. I often thought about someone inventing a 'static bike stand',where fans who feel cold could pedal static bikes to keep warm. Not only keeping themselves warm, but maybe the bikes could be 'wired up' to a system that generates enough electricity to power some,if not all the grounds floodlights, thus decreasing a clubs electricity bill.🤔

Maybe Dynamo Kiev https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FC_Dynamo_Kyiv
,Dynamo Dresden https://www.google.com/search?q=dyn...46i175i199.11372j1j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
or Colne Dynamos https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colne_Dynamoes_F.C.
could introduce such a thing.

I'd like someone to invent a way of keeping the cherry blossom on the trees for more than a fortnight.

The blossom trees outside my flat are nice to look at,but the blossom doesn't last long enough. We always seem to get a few days of strong winds and rain (today being horrendous) after it's reached full bloom, which blows half of it off after a few days. I like the pink carpet we get when it's falling off,but not too keen when it goes brown and soggy and gets walked into my flat. Why can't it last as long as the boring green leaves that follow it?

Maybe i should've posted this in thehttps://www.cyclechat.net/threads/trivial-things-that-make-you-annoyed-beyond-expectations.123600/
thread.🤔

A transponder, to be fitted into every vehicle on the road. So when you get in, to drive the car, it requires an 8 figure number or word to activate the car, also, at the roadside, or in the roads, etc. Receivers that when you pass them, register the vehicle, going 34 mph in a 30 zone? Pop, instant 100 quid fine.
Pretty sure something similar could work on bikes for those few retarded f**kwits that go through red lights or wrong way of a one way street, ride on pavement

The cherry-bloom has gone—

Is what it has become.

This one is an absolute winner!

I have just watched my daughter attempting to hold a plate of toast, eat the toast and at the same time operate her life support system (a. k.a mobile phone).
So why not make a plate with a built in phone holder?

Star Trek has had a few mentions in this thread already, so one more.

I'd like the tricorder used by Bones (Dr McCoy) to become a reality. It was the clichéd 'swiss army knife' of medical diagnosis, a supremely wonderful gadget. It could detect everything and anything.

Cpt Kirk: are they going to OK Bones?

*McCoy waves scanner over motionless corpse, it makes its whirry buzzy noise*

McCoy: yes Jim, they're just a bit pissed off.

That's genius. If all the home supporters were riding bikes to power the floodlights, they could pedal extra hard when their team had the ball, and all stop when things weren't going their way, thereby plunging the pitch into darkness.
