Yes,we didn't think anything of the name when we'd go to Blackburn Mecca in the 1970's/early '80's.

Most of blackburn probably never did either. Its only when they arrived at ‘Mecca’ after a ten minute walk from home they realised it wasn't the most holiest city in Islam
